Pastor John Bryce

'Pastor John' came to Primrose Hill Baptist Church after serving many years in the Police Force. His experience of life is therefore vast. An accomplished musician and composer he played in the Force Brass Band but found his forte in composing religious songs and choruses.

An injury at work terminated his Police career just shortly before his intended retiring date, and at a time when, supported by his lovely wife, Denise and others, he led 'No Compromise Ministries', taking the Full Gospel on itinerant visits to many churches with no denominational bias.

John has two daughters, Joanne, who is married to Neil, now living in Glasgow. Adele, a podiatrist, married Dave, (developer of this website) in May 2001. All the family serve the Lord.

After a lengthy period of convalescence John was approached in 1996 by the members of the Baptist Church with a profile for the new minister they were seeking. They believed John was the man. The profile read:- "Our need is for an active, evangelically motivated leader, with a social conscience and a keen interest in children and young people. We are praying that the Baptist witness will be maintained in this area......Our prayer is that God will clearly direct us in the way He would have us go - under the leadership of His choice......" The prayer was answered when John was inducted to the ministry at Primrose Hill to commence God's work on 1st September 1996. The members' expectations have been more than fulfilled, and Pastor John now seeks to fulfil the full calling of God upon his life, ably assisted by his wife Denise.

We pray the continuance of God's obvious blessing upon this 'man of God' whose true gift of expounding Bible truths is a joy to all attendees here.
